Indian Mill Trail

Length: no idea. Elevation gain: no idea. Date hiked: July 12, 2021

Once a year, Lisa, Kassie, me, and willing Wright children attempt to go on a hike. It's a great tradition! This year, after asking the locals, Lisa found a great hike. I have searched the interweb for information on this hike. There is none. You have to be local to know about it! We didn't get to the end of the hike, but we enjoyed our time wandering through the woods and chatting.

Jordyn, Tylee, Ivy, Claire, Annika, and Kassie.

The beginning of the hike! Lisa is in this picture, taking it actually.

This was a great little hike. First, kudos to Lisa to get us to the trailhead. The road was downright sketchy! We started up the trail as very happy people. Jordyn was in her carrier. All had energy. It was lovely! I gave this hike four out of five trees. The hike was perfect. The road was sketchy. So, four trees.

As we hiked we forged streams. Okay, that was dramatic. We walked across streams on the rocks that were sticking out of the streambeds. Some smart people had sandals. That was convenient. :) They crossed with ease. And, for good measure, Jordyn threw rocks in the water where we crossed.

As we hiked along, we sufficiently made several cows very nervous. Very nervous. They ran up the trail in front of us and disappeared, or so we thought. Luckily, we had our resident rancher, Kassie, with us. When we came across them a second time, they ran off in a huff. Mother cows. Baby cows. Many crashed through the forest. For some reason, which I will never understand, we appeared to be a threat. :/

We hiked on passing a nice little meadow. And, after some time, the kids had enough! So, we turned around and headed back to the car with thoughts of lunch dancing in our heads.

The end of the trail with a pleasant bridge and pleasant hikers.

Here's a cute waterfall with lots of cute girls.

Lunch spot fun!

We lunched just above the waterfall. The water was freezing cold! I was a chicken and didn't get in. However, everyone else got in. Even Jordyn. I don't know how they managed. It was too freezy for me. After a good time in the water and on the bank, we headed for home. Another successful hike in the books!
